Hello! I am sitting in a hotel room in Los Angeles getting ready to go down for Day 2 of the Writers of the Future Writers Workshop. With the exception of one go-around on landing due to high winds in Chicago, travel yesterday was fine, with no major snafus on the two flights it took to get here. Ria Rutten, from WotF, met me at LAX and got me in a car with Devon Bohm and David Henrickson and we had a great time getting to know each other on the 50 minute drive to the hotel through LA traffic. All of the WotF staff have been great and I’m super excited to learn some writing tips and tricks from Tim Powers and Jody Lynn Nye starting in about 30 minutes. I can hardly believe I’m here!
